In the late 1960s TMEIC was the first in the industry to pioneer the use of process computers to model rolling practice. Continual innovation has been TMEIC's hallmark since that time.
TMEIC was the first to introduce to the industry real-time setup modeling to provide close tolerances in gauge, finishing temperature, coiling temperature, and temperature controlled rolling. We continue to invest in hot mill technology. Recent developments include flying gauge control and associated modeling for semi-continuous and continuous rolling with inline casting. Successful systems have been commissioned in the Netherlands, and similar technology has been incorporated into recent Brazil and China-based projects.
Associated with these new rolling practices and mill configurations, we have enhanced our mill setup and shape modeling technology to accommodate dynamic transition control for thickness, finishing temperature, and coiling temperature. We have also incorporated ultra-light gauge rolling setup and shape/profile control using the latest mill profile actuators offered by mechanical suppliers.
TMEIC has recently introduced in both Japan and North America the use of inline induction strip heating, which improves edge metallurgy and shape for metal products supporting welded pipe manufacturing.
TMEIC application and sales engineers have extensive experience in hot mill technology and are eager to work with you on your next project. Please call or email us using the contact information below.
