High speed switch (HSS)
|
The high speed circuit breaker keeps the open time at 1.5ms or shorter, achieving
industry-leading interruption characteristics. The high speed breaker relay is equipped
with a voltage-reducing component, as well as power direction and short-circuit
components, allowing for reliable detection and appropriate judgment. This combination
restricts the disconnection time to 15ms or shorter upon a momentary voltage drop,
the top performance in the industry.
|
Thyristor clipper
|
The contactless feature can respond to numerous frequencies of open/closed switches,
and requires very little injection time. The circuit is cut-off for one cycle or
shorter. A thyristor-limiting circuit is also available, which limits currents by
combination with a series reactor.
|
Power storage system
|
Combining storage batteries and a highly-efficient inverter allows the system to
store power at night for discharge during the day's peak load hours, thus controlling
the power peak demand and contributing to saving energy. The stored power, combined
with the high speed switch system, can also be used as the power supply to compensate
instantaneous voltage drops.
|
Static VAR compensator (SVC) for voltage variation control
|
A broad lineup - from an ultra large capacity (up to 200 MVA) to high speed operation
types using IGBT and IEGT elements -- serves as voltage flicker and voltage variation
countermeasures in a wide range of fields. The high speed type using an inverter
for the main circuit has won an overwhelming market share in Japan.
|
Solid state transfer switch (SSTS)
|
The hybrid structure of a high-voltage thyristor switch and high speed circuit breaker
attains a switching speed of 15ms or shorter with low loss.
|
High speed transfer switch (HSTS) system
|
The mechanical high speed switching system based on a high speed circuit breaker
attains high speed switches of 15ms or shorter.
|
UPS system
|
This system offers the highest level of proven achievements and reliability in the
industry. An IGBT element converter controls the occurrence of harmonics. Digital
monitoring system intelligence ensures high-level operation and maintenance. The
lineup covers a variety of capacities and purposes to satisfy customers' needs.
|
Voltage sag compensator (MPC system)
|
The device can compensate for various kinds of momentary voltage drops, such as
a total lack of incoming voltage, by employing a battery-equipped full voltage compensation
method, a first for voltage sag compensators. The MPC realizes high speed switching
-- 2ms or shorter upon low voltage commercial outage (sag); and 5ms or shorter upon
high voltage commercial outage. The SPS performs switches of 124 cycles or shorter.
|
Frequency converter (FC)
|
The FC provides flexible electric power by linking different frequency systems with
a self-induced converter. It can operate with unspecified available and unavailable
power within the device's ratings, allowing for effective power use of private generators.
|
Voltage sag compensator (MPC system)
|
|
This model protects facilities from unexpected losses caused by sags, through a
combination of a high speed switching element/apparatus and a bidirectional converter.
The lineup covers both high-voltage and low-voltage specs, greatly enhancing the
reliability of power sources.
